A 4-bedroom 1990’s detached home in Aberford, West Yorkshire has been transformed by experienced domestic and commercial fabricator and installer, Kingfisher Windows. The domestic project included the installation of fourteen flush casement windows, two sets of French doors with side panels and a new 3m x 3m conservatory all manufactured from Optima by Epwin Window Systems. The six-week installation was part of a total house renovation project.
Deborah Beeley, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kingfisher Windows explains: “The 1990’s-built property was fitted with first generation PVC-U windows and doors. The homeowner wanted to update their property with modern window and door aesthetics which included rebuilding their existing conservatory into a new, modern garden room. The windows and doors manufactured in anthracite grey on white perfectly matched the homeowner’s brief and delivered the modern transformation this family home required.”
Having constructed the property’s original conservatory twenty years ago, the homeowners returned to Kingfisher Windows for this new project. The homeowner said: “Having used Kingfisher Windows before, we knew we were in safe hands with our home refurbishment project. They took the time to understand our requirements and advised us at every level. Everything was meticulously planned from the onsite builders to the window and door fitting teams. Their attention to detail was faultless and all the trades cleaned up afterwards with an end-to-end white glove service. We are delighted with the finished result which has transformed the look and feel of our home.”
Epwin Window Systems’ flush casement windows deliver the hallmark of a traditional timber window with all the modern PVC-U performance. The product integrates perfectly into new build and refurbishment projects and is designed to maximise thermal efficiency. The PVC-U system meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and achieves a window U-value of 1.2W/m2K with 24mm double glazing.
With the rising cost of energy, thermally efficient products have never been more important to consumers. The homeowner said: “Whilst we looked at changing our windows and door for improved aesthetics, having better energy efficient products made good financial sense too. The Kingfisher team ensured we had the best energy efficiency products fitted which will make a big difference to the thermal efficiency of our home.”
